nRF5340 DK是用於開發nRF5340 SoC應用的套件， 包含了開發工作所需的一切工具。

這款開發套件支援使用多種無線協定進行產品開發。它支援低功耗藍牙，具有2 Mbps高資料傳輸量、廣播擴充套件和長距離等功能。藍牙Mesh網狀網路、Thread和Zigbee之類的網狀網路協定可以與低功耗藍牙同時執行，從而使得智慧手機能夠配網、入網、設定和控制Mesh網狀網路節點， 還支援NFC、ANT、802.15.4和2.4 GHz專有協定。

這款開發套件設有一個NFC天線，可快速測試nRF5340的NFC type A標籤功能。電路板上配有一個SEGGER J-Link仿真器，可對nRF5340 SoC或者外部目標裝置進行程式設計和除錯。

可透過接頭連接器和邊緣連接器使用所有的類比/數位介面，以及GPIO埠。本套件與Arduino Uno Rev3硬體相容，這意味著它可以輕鬆與外部裝置擴展套件板（shield）連接。

四個按鈕和四個LED簡化了nRF5340 SoC的輸入和輸出，並且均可由使用者進行程式設計。板載外部儲存器連接到nRF5340 SoC的96 MHz QSPI週邊設備介面。

通常nRF5340 DK透過USB供電，另可以採用1.7-5.0 V的多種電源供電。除USB外，它還可以使用外部電源供電，具備CR2032電池支架和鋰電池連接器，用於現場測試。使用者可以使用專用的電流測量接腳來測量功耗，例如使用Nordic的Power Profiler Kit II。

nRF Connect SDK是nRF5340 SoC的軟體開發套件，它提供對nRF5340 DK的板載支援。支援低功耗藍牙、Thread和Zigbee應用軟體開發。它整合了Zephyr RTOS、協定疊構、範例、硬體驅動程式等等。
